IT/OT Technican - Sperry

Halliburton Sperry are looking for IT/OT technicians for onshore and offshore work.

Sperry delivers services within supervision of offshore drilling operations within directional drilling and downhole monitoring/measurements.  These services provide our customers with an excellent overview of the well, its condition and development, at the same time ensures unwanted waste is contained.

As an IT/OT technician working for Sperry, you would be part of a young, dynamic and forward leaning team. Leading edge on remote operation within mudlogging, MWD/LWD and Directional Drilling. With increased focus on remote operations, the requirements for smart and robust IT/OT solutions increase as well.

Job description:

• Quality control and standardization of equipment and solutions.
• Take part in planning and requesting of IT/OT equipment for new and existing jobs.
• Installation, testing and maintenance of software and hardware for both onshore and offshore.
• Be part of Halliburton commission process offshore.
• Support function for both Sperry operations and workshops.
• Maintenance and function testing of equipment used in automated solutions.
• Contribute to assessing and improving existing and future IT/OT equipment/solutions.
• Contribute to continuous development.
• Advise and train personnel in use of IT/OT equipment.

Qualifications:

• Preferably trade certificate in IT/ICT/Telecom or similar
• Familiarity with 104 - NOG guidelines
• Offshore safety certificate is preferred, but not required
• Excellent Norwegian and English skills, verbal and written.  
• Highly skilled with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Detailed knowledge of network solutions, equipment selection and troubleshooting.
• Experience with bus systems and associated equipment (Profibus, Modbus, WITS etc.).
• Solid knowledge of physical interfaces for computers, screens, network equipment and media converters.
• Experience with Lean, 5s and process improvements.

• Important that you have an eye for details and accurate in your work.
• A lot of work is done in between departments, it is therefore crucial that you have good communication and cooperative skills.
• The ability to work independent and in team to ensure good knowledge transfer and service quality.
• Close and direct communication with clients both onshore and offshore requires that you are client focused and service minded.
• Many technical solutions require new thinking. It is important with initiative and result oriented behavior to be able to gain new knowledge.
• In this position it is important to work strategical, sometimes with short time limits. This means that you need to be proactive and flexible.
