About the Role
The Procurement Manager leads sourcing and procurement activities supporting Artificial Lift manufacturing, HPS operations, and project execution.
This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, and ensuring reliable, cost-effective supply of goods and services. The position partners closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Technology, and Business Development to align procurement with production demands, technical requirements, and business objectives.
Operating with a mix of strategic and tactical responsibilities, the Procurement Manager ensures compliance with Category Management strategies while driving value creation in areas not covered by global or regional sourcing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals supporting manufacturing, field operations, and project activities.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with Artificial Lift and HPS operational and production requirements.
• Ensure reliable supply of materials, components, and services to meet manufacturing schedules and field demand.
• Partner with Category Management to implement sourcing strategies and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding for goods and services outside of established category strategies.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Drive supplier performance improvements across quality, lead time, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Technology teams to define specifications and ensure supplier alignment with product requirements, including reviewing and interpreting technical drawings.
• Partner with Operations and Business Development to support demand planning and strategic initiatives.
• Manage procurement risks, including supply continuity, vendor capacity, and market volatility.
• Monitor procurement performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across sourcing processes.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and regulatory standards across the supply chain.
• Travel approximately 10–15% to supplier locations to support sourcing activities, supplier development, and performance reviews.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles within industrial, manufacturing, or oil & gas environments.
• Proven experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and sourcing strategies.
• Experience leading or developing procurement teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chains and production-driven procurement.
• Ability to balance cost, quality, and delivery in a dynamic operational environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Preferred
• Experience in Artificial Lift, manufacturing, or production-focused environments (HPS experience a plus).
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent).
• Experience working within Category Management frameworks.
• Exposure to global sourcing, logistics, and supplier development.
