Summary:  

The Senior Software Engineer for Baroid & Multi-Chem will be responsible for setting technical direction for cloud adoption and maintaining constantly changing architectures of existing on prem apps. This individual must be able to define best practices for complex solutions and develop migration strategies for existing on-premise applications.  This individual must also have strong consultative and communication skills.  The individual must be able to bring the different stakeholders to consensus.  The individual must also be able to influence product teams on the reasons and direction for migrating to cloud architectures. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years working with information technology 
  • 5+ years working with cloud technology 
  • Expert in cloud technologies, especially Azure 
  • Good experience in DevSecOps methodologies, especially Terraform and ADO 
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field of study 

 

Experience: 

  • Significant experience in design and development roles 
  • Strong background in Azure DevOps and DevSecOps related responsibilities including: CI/CD pipeline architecture/creation, working with ADO/Terraform, best deployment practices, and microservices
  • Significant experience with transformations from traditional operational methodologies to DevSecOps 
  • Experience with Agile development practices 
  • CI / CD pipelines for Web applications 
  • Strong C#/.Net software development background in an enterprise environment 
  • Previous experience creating proof of concepts from scratch based off requirements/application infrastructure to propose, create, and implement solutions  
  • Experience in working/leading onsite/offsite team, and some task planning activities. 
  • Experience/exposure to both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum practices and tools. 
  • Strong API experience (defining API specifications, creating APIs, and integrating APIs into 3rd party applications) 
     

Pluses:

  • Background in Software Architect work 
  • Previous Oil and Gas industry experience
