Job Duties
Under broad direction, as a subject matter expert:
- Performs preventive/predictive maintenance and repair of a variety of mechanical equipment relative to their assigned location.
- Assists in supervising other technicians and prioritizes and/or assigns work when needed.
- Possesses advanced diagnostic/troubleshooting knowledge and skills.
- Performs advanced function testing to verify equipment readiness after maintenance.
- Must be proficient in understanding/interpreting mechanical schematics/drawings/prints.
- Ability to identify correct parts and locate them in a system search to enable accurate procurement of spares.
- Ensures adherence, accurate input, and maintenance of data into Halliburton's system of record.
- This role is responsible for following specific and detailed work processes within the Halliburton Management System (HMS) during daily job activities.
- Responsible for mentoring junior technicians.
- Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
- Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
Additional Role Responsibilities:
(1). Provide the professional technical Support for Rotating equipment and facilities operation and maintenance services;
(2). Maintenance, support and troubleshooting of vibration, lubrication, controls applications / systems of equipment;
(3). Mechanical support of manufacturing units across the facility;
(4). Responsible of the training and technical development of the Mechanical Maintenance organization;
(5). Responsible for the development and control the annual budget for the Mechanical Maintenance organization;
(6). Routinely analyze and report expenditures to ensure budget compliance;
(7). Participate and advise in developing plans for major shutdowns, construction or alteration projects where mechanical inspections will be critical to the accomplishment of the work;
(8). Become personally involved in all repairs during shutdowns to insure a trouble-free start-up. Assume responsible role in start-up of all major rotating equipment after shutdown.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in related mechanical fields are required. A technical school certification is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 10-years relevant experience in their discipline or in an operations environment within the oil & gas industry.
