Job Duties
Under broad direction, as a subject matter expert:
- Performs preventive/predictive maintenance and repair of a variety of mechanical equipment relative to their assigned location.
- Assists in supervising other technicians and prioritizes and/or assigns work when needed.
- Possesses advanced diagnostic/troubleshooting knowledge and skills.
- Performs advanced function testing to verify equipment readiness after maintenance.
- Must be proficient in understanding/interpreting mechanical schematics/drawings/prints.
- Ability to identify correct parts and locate them in a system search to enable accurate procurement of spares.
- Ensures adherence, accurate input, and maintenance of data into Halliburton's system of record.
- This role is responsible for following specific and detailed work processes within the Halliburton Management System (HMS) during daily job activities.
- Responsible for mentoring junior technicians.
- Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
- Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
Additional Role Responsibilities:
(1). Provide the professional technical Support for static equipment and facilities operation and maintenance services;
(2). Conducts detailed technical evaluations to address issues with equipment and system design, operation and maintenance;
(3). Provides pertinent engineering expertise to Root Cause Failure Analysis;
(4).Review and approval of mechanical data sheets of static equipment
(5).Reviews affiliate, project and contractor deliverables as requested to ensure compliance with project specifications, Design Practices, Static Equipment Toolkit guidance, and best practices. Documents to be reviewed may include Piping & Instrument Diagrams, equipment arrangements, equipment specifications, data sheets, vendor proposals, and technical studies;
(6).Participates in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, vendor qualification, and vendor bid evaluations as requested;
(7).Supports functional initiatives and maintains discipline documentation pertinent to Upstream Facilities;
(8).Provides technical mentorship to less experienced engineers with emphasis on areas of identified skill gaps;
(9).Proactively and continuously grows disciplines technical expertise in pertinent technologies.
(10).Maintains current knowledge (e.g. through participation in industry conferences / forums).
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in related mechanical fields are required. A technical school certification is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 10-years relevant experience in their discipline or in an operations environment within the oil & gas industry.
