Job Duties

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Run reports, analyze applicable supply base and solicit stakeholder requirements to determine contract needs and prioritize work accordingly
  • Ensure alignment of CCOE to Category Management strategy by working closely with Category Manager to determine how CCOE can support their strategies
  • Lead, facilitate and participate in contract negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Provide stakeholders with creative contract solutions that will strengthen Halliburton’s position and relationship with the supplier
  • Draft commercial language based on stakeholder feedback on what is required for that specific product/service 
  • Analyze existing contracts on an ongoing basis to identify areas of risk based on current market conditions or changes in regulatory requirements.  Generate and execute an action plan to mitigate identified risk.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on contracting related policies and processes and ensure compliance in all contracting activities
  • Analyze supplier redlines, and provide review and suggestions to stakeholders and other internal parties such as legal, tax, risk mgmt., etc.

 

Additional responsibilities above contract specialist:

  • Provide procurement contracts subject matter expert support/guidance to global supply chain organization including policy and work method questions, processes, contract system, and contract negotiations
  • Experience in effectively leading teams including coaching, work prioritization, and ensuring compliance to company policies 

 

Qualifications

  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in an applicable discipline and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
