Job Duties
Responsibilities:
• Under broad direction and with limited supervision, performs specialist work on multiple downhole tool types (Is an SME for at least 2 tool lines within a family in all Assembly/Test/Electrical/Mechanical Capabilities).
• Capable of analyzing failed equipment by designing test plans, finding, and communicating root causes and corrective actions.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced repair and maintenance technicians, leads, and supervisors.
• Rater and trainer (TTT) across multiple tool types and is capable of carrying out procedural auditing for quality purposes.
• Takes direction from engineering and performs advance assembly/testing as necessary for RCA investigations, field trials, etc.
• Responsibility to lead discussions in a group setting new or recently distributed documentation or process improvements such as Tech Faxs, NOMEMs etc, GTS Alerts and will be first point of contact for local questions or discussions.
• Participates and supports CI initiatives.
• Able to use advanced instruments such as o-scopes, inductance meters, micrometers, surface testers, microscopes, etc; to provide onsite engineering data collection.
• Capable of leading CP2 and other internal quality checks on outgoing equipment.
• Participate on new product launches, and or improving existing documentation through input as an SME on equipment types.
Requirements:
• Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent.
• 7 years relevant experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Associates degree or a technical school certificate is preferred.
