Day Shift:

Monday - Friday; 7:30am-5pm

 

Job Responsibilties and Qualifications:

  • Under broad direction, the Master Planner is responsible for master planning, inventory management, just in time planning, material requirements planning, capacity planning, and production activity control.
  • The Master Planner must identify and establish master planned items as well as defining and coordinating planning strategy with field operations.
  • Applies Theory of Constraints to resolve bottlenecks, performs inventory management functions to optimize material flow.
  • Has expertise to execute: Forecasting, Order Promising, FP, MRP, Master Data, Engineering Change, Management, and Inventory Turns.
  • Responsible for providing expert recommendations for material requirements planning (MRP) settings, forecasting, and management of inventory levels.
  • May also review or approve the work of more junior planners or act as mentors, training junior planners in scheduling and production processing.
  • Performs rough cut capacity planning (RCCP), balancing demand with capacity and executing changes to the master schedule.
  • Loads and maintains demand management master plan.
  • Conducts production planning coordination meetings with different teams, obtains feedback from PSL and Manufacturing personnel, and internal and external suppliers, and uses those inputs to determine appropriate inventory levels to meet the business' requirements.
  • Develops strategies to optimize inventory trends and performance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of eight years of related experience in manufacturing planning, procurement, or customer service.
  • Four year degree may be considered as relevant experience. Requires strong computer skills and analytical abilities to resolve problems.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Interested in leadership.
