Job Description

Under general supervision, the Senior Accountant applies knowledge of accounting principles, company systems, and internal controls to support financial reporting and operational decision-making. This role performs complex accounting activities, ensures compliance with company policies, and contributes to the accuracy and integrity of financial results. The position requires the ability to work onsite full-time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, including variance explanations
  • Perform complex account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Prepare and post journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions
  • Execute month-end close activities and maintain adherence to reporting deadlines
  • Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP or applicable accounting standards
  • Utilize SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA to process transactions and generate reports
  • Leverage BlackLine to perform account reconciliations and manage close activities
  • Research and resolve accounting issues, including those related to internal controls
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and process improvements

Preferred Areas of Experience

  • Fixed Assets accounting (capitalization, depreciation, asset lifecycle management)
  • Intercompany accounting (reconciliations, settlements, eliminations)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP or applicable accounting standards
  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience with BlackLine
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or progress toward certification
  • Experience working in a large, multinational organization
  • Exposure to shared services or corporate accounting environments

 

Compensation Information
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
