Overview

Halliburton is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry. We are seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect to lead the design, integration, governance, and technical roadmap of SAP cloud solutions across our enterprise landscape.

This role will be responsible for architecting and supporting SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) solutions, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP S/4HANA integrations while ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP BTP administration, integration architecture, identity and access management, and cloud security.

The successful candidate will partner with Enterprise Architecture, SAP Basis, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to deliver strategic business solutions and drive adoption of modern SAP technologies.

Job Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

• Define and maintain SAP BTP and integration architecture standards.
• Design scalable, secure, and supportable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
• Lead technical design workshops and architecture reviews.
• Evaluate new SAP technologies and recommend solution strategies.
• Develop technology roadmaps supporting Halliburton's digital transformation initiatives.

SAP BTP Platform Leadership

• Architect and govern SAP BTP Global Accounts, Subaccounts, services, and entitlements.
• Establish standards for platform administration, security, transport management, and operational support.
• Define platform governance, monitoring, resiliency, and lifecycle management strategies.
• Support adoption of SAP BTP services including Cloud Foundry, Integration Suite, Event Mesh, Work Zone, HANA Cloud, and related platform services.

Integration Architecture

• Design and govern enterprise integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI).
• Define standards and best practices for:
• APIs
• OData Services
• REST Services
• SOAP Services
• IDocs
• RFCs
• Event-Driven Integrations
• Lead resolution of complex integration and connectivity issues.
• Support integration patterns between SAP and non-SAP applications.

SAP S/4HANA Integration

• Define integration architecture between SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA.
• Design secure hybrid-cloud connectivity using SAP Cloud Connector.
• Collaborate with Basis and infrastructure teams to support enterprise integrations.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with SAP roadmap and industry best practices.

Security & Identity Management

• Design secure authentication and authorization solutions across SAP platforms.
• Implement and maintain:
• OAuth 2.0
• SAML
• Single Sign-On (SSO)
• SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS)
• Identity Provisioning Services (IPS)
• Microsoft Entra ID Integration
• Govern role collections, access controls, and security standards.
• Partner with Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies.

Event-Driven Architecture (Nice to Have)

• Design and support event-driven integration strategies.
• Configure and govern messaging patterns using SAP Advanced Event Mesh.
• Establish standards for queues, topics, event brokers, and asynchronous integrations.
• Promote modern integration approaches across the enterprise landscape.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for development and support teams.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making.
• Develop operational procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Support production issues and drive root cause analysis for critical incidents.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

Experience

• 10+ years of SAP experience.
• 5+ years of SAP BTP experience.
• 5+ years of SAP Integration Suite / CPI experience.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale SAP landscapes.
• Experience implementing cloud-based SAP solutions in a global organization.
