About the Role

The Houston Manufacturing Team is seeking an HR Specialist / HR Business Partner to provide on-site HR support and partnership for local operations. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing key people initiatives, including planning, scheduling, and communicating talent development programs, while serving as a primary point of contact for HR related needs for Manufacturing employees and leaders.

This position will partner closely with site leadership to support employee relations, talent processes, workforce planning, and engagement efforts. The role also contributes to driving consistency in HR practices, supporting compliance, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall employee experience.

The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of HR experience, with a strong foundation in core HR disciplines and a desire to grow into a broader business partner role. They demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities
•    Under general supervision, supports the effective operation and improvement of one or more HR processes.
•    Collaborates with stakeholders, creates tools and resources, and executes basic programs and projects.
•    Develops subject matter expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: Compensation, Benefits, International HR/Global Mobility, Employee Relations, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, HR Information Systems, or HR Operations.
•    Supports the efficient delivery of processes, programs and policies through the application of specialized knowledge and skills, analysis, and business acumen.
•    Assists with HR data reporting and analysis used to determine meaningful recommendations and actions to improve overall HR service delivery.
•    May advise HR and business leaders across the organization on best practices.

Qualifications

•    Requires an undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
•    Master's degree and Professional HR Certification preferred.
•    Demonstrated foundational knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, employment laws, and HR policies.
•    Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
•    Strong organization skills and ability to manage and prioritize tasks.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
•    Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
•    Experience supporting employee relations activities, including coaching managers, conducting investigations, and resolving workplace issues preferred.
•    Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development initiatives preferred.
•    This position primarily will report onsite at the Drill Bits & Services Manufacturing Facility in Conroe, Texas with travel to other Houston Facilities as needed.
